Kristy acquired a stationary bike from her father, but didn’t like the spiky metal pedals. To replace them, I whipped up a 3D model and printed new ones on the Makerbot.
Here is the 3D model. I use SketchUp, which is a great program to learn 3D design. I took out some of the side wall to save my filament.

I removed the raft from the print. The pedals look pretty good.
The old screws were lousy and stripped out when we removed them. We got new ones at the hardware store.

The measurements were correct and they mounted to the pedals without problem.

We picked the red filament to match the body of the bike. If you stand back, it looks like they were made in a factory with the bike to match the style.
Kristy tried them out and is satisfied. And if she is satisfied, so am I.
