I have been working on new cutting boards for my First Friday show in NOTO. I hope you like them.
These are two interesting boards. The bigger one is purple heart and maple. The smaller is a chaos board with some very tasty woods: purple heart, walnut, padauk, hedge, Baltic birch, cherry, and probably some others.

I have also made a display table for the show that I made from aspen wood sourced from Colorado.
You might notice the Ian Stuart style legs. Here it is without the shelf.

After the lower shelf was clamped, I reinforced the surfaces because all of the cutting boards will be around 50 lbs or more.

Kristy convinced me to fill the knots with blue pigmented epoxy. I didn’t want a lot of clean up, so I masked around the knots.
Here’s the result. They are not what we expected, but I’m still glad we did it.

At any rate, here is the final table. I wanted to polyurethane it, but i’m out of time. If it makes it through the ruckus First Friday, K and I are talking about making it our TV stand.

I will take some photos of the display. There will be ~15 cutting boards. I’ve done some gallery shows, but this one is all cutting boards, which is completely different.
