Cherry Laptop Stand

This will be a quick post. A while back I built a simple Cherry desk for Kristy. She wanted to replace her laptop stand with something more artisan. I obliged.

From my inventory of Cherry boards I had, I quickly ripped one down and planed them to thickness. I did a dowel thing on the back to encourage it not to warp in and cut it off with a finishing saw. After some vigorous sanding it looked pretty good.

You know what we say around here: shellac and polyurethane, can’t complain. Or, polyurethane and shellac, that’s a fact.

I think the wood was from the same tree, so it matches perfectly.

Don’t forget to backup your hard drive.
