Walnut Cutting Board (part 2)

I removed the clamps after the glue had dried. The glue squeeze-out knocked off pretty easy with the hand planer. I sent the boards through the bench-top planer to ensure the next clamp up would be flush. Next I cut them down to 1.75″ strips. I used the miter saw because the cuts tend to be much straighter than the table saw.

I arranged the new strips into 2 cutting boards. My goal was to have at least one with just one block different from the walnut. The one on the right has more imperfections that I will need to deal with later.

At any rate, I’ve got one of the boards gluing up and should be ready to switch out in 24 hours.
